Tsuboichi's premium matcha candy is one of the products that we are the most proud of. In Japan, there have been many matcha-flavor sweets, but there are very few that don't use any additives like colorings or artificial flavors, and we didn't want to produce that kind of matcha sweets. That's why we wanted to produce real matcha sweets like this candy.

The features of this sweetened houjicha powders are the following;

First, this candy is incredibly rich in matcha flavor.  We put matcha powder in four times amount compared to general matcha candy manufacutured in machine.  This product is hand-made by a skilled candy manufacuturer and he can knead a lot of matcha.  Generally, matcha candy tend to be manufactured in machine and in that way, they don't want to use so much matcha powder because it's easy to be whirled up.  Matcha powder is first-plucked Uji-matcha and matured for a while in the storehouse built 100 years ago.  Tsuboichi's skilled tea appraisers carefully select tea leaves so that the candy has a rich aroma.  We grind the powder in our own factory.

Second, you can taste rick matcha flavor to the end.  In this candy, matcha powder is kneaded all over a piece.  However, general matcha candy only tend to have matcha powder in the core and the outside tend to be only candy.  That's why, our matcha candy looks good with bright green color.

Third, the ingredients are so simple!  We use only sugar, starch syrup, and matcha powder.  We don't use any artificial stuff like colorings, preservatives, flavors.

Each candy is individually packaged, so you can carry part of it and give it to your friend.
