1， What is a handlebar switch?
The most common way to activate electrical components on a bike, is by pressing a button. Handlebar switches mount to your handlebars so one has easy access to perform these basic vehicle functions. Functions such as turn signals, lights, beeping the horn and even kill switches that turn the motor off can be easily done by activating these switches, located just a couple of inches away from your hands.

2，How does a motorcycle switch work?
Kill switches (specifically in motorcycles) work by short-circuiting (or disrupting) the current passing through an engine’s ignition system (i.e., ignition coil, CDI, Spark plug, battery) to prevent the spark plug from creating the spark that is needed (for the power stroke) to ignite the fuel/air mixture contained within the combustion chamber.
It’s important to note that kill switches are not just limited to ignition systems, as they can also be wired into fuel systems (to starve the engine of fuel and cause the engine to shut off), or any other electrical system that is vital (i.e., needed) for the engine to run.
