Bee venom is a complex mixture of ingredients, which account for 80% -88% of water, also contains several kinds of protein peptides, enzymes, histamines, acids, amino acids and trace elements. Among the peptides, melittin accounted for about 50% of dried bee venom and bee venom peptides accounted for 3% of dry bee venom.
