XVF-360F}

Tree harvester heads are forestry machinery components used to felling, cutting and measure trees. Its components typically include feed rollers, de-limbing knives, measuring sensors, chain saws and tilting devices that allow the harvester head to operate in both horizontal and vertical positions. The tree harvester head is attached to the arm of excavator with a swivel that allows the harvester head to rotate about its vertical axis.

When felling tree, the harvester head moves to the root, grabs the tree, and cuts it with a chain saw. The feeder rollers then transport the tree through the harvester head, where the branching knife cuts off the branches in the process. By means of measuring sensors and a chain saw, trees can be cut into lengths suitable for logs or pulpwood.
