Angle steel, commonly known in the industry as angle iron, it is a long strip of steel with two sides forming a right angle, the material is usually ordinary carbon structural steel and low alloy steel.
Angle steel classification: usually according to the different specifications of the two sides of the angle steel, divided into equal angle steel and unequal angle steel.
One of the characteristics of angles is their unique cross-sectional shape, which gives them better compressive and torsional properties when subjected to vertical and horizontal forces. This makes angles often used as support, reinforcement or connection materials in building structures. In addition, the surface of angle steel is smooth and flat, easy to process and weld, and can meet different engineering needs.
Because of its super cost-effective, angle steel is widely used in many fields such as housing construction, bridges, tunnels, wire towers, ships, brackets, steel structures and so on, playing the role of supporting or fixing the structure.
Angle specifications: usually "side length * side length * side thickness" to indicate, for example, "50 * 36 * 3" indicates that the side length of 50mm and 36mm respectively, the thickness of 3mm unequal angle. Equilateral angle steel specifications of many models, according to the different needs of the project to choose, with more 50mm side length and 63mm side length of the equilateral angle steel.
Angle theoretical weight formula: meter weight (kg) = (side length mm + side length - side thickness) * side thickness mm * 0.00785. such as 63 * 63 * 5 angle, meter weight = (63 + 63-5) * 5 * 0.00785 = 4.749kg
