1.How are silicone hoses and tubing measured?
Some silicone hoses are sold as an "Each" item, and others have a "by length" option. On items with length options, please pay
careful attention to the unit of measurement, as some items will be sold "Per Inch" and others will be sold "Per Foot." Elbow
leg-lengths are always measured from the center line radius.
2.Is there an industry specification that is applicable to silicone hoses?
Yes, our industry standard is SAE J20 Class A. Our finished silicone tubes, flex hoses, and raw materials are regularly tested to
ensure complete compliance. Please contact our engineering department with any technical or specification-related questions.
3.What are the temperature ranges of silicone hoses and attachments?
It depends on the reinforcing fabrics within the silicone hoses. Standard polyester will handle -65F through 350F continuously,
while our premium Nomex fabrics are suitable for temperature requirements as high as 500F. Please contact our engineering
department for additional details about our performance silicone hoses.
4.Are silicone hoses compatible with oil and fuel?
No, our standard silicone hoses are not suitable for use with oil or fuel. However, we do offer special fluorocarbon and fluoro
silicone liners that provide superior chemical resistance. Please contact our engineering department for more details and support
in designing a chemical-resistant product to meet your specific requirements.
