The age of this
Craft
has been approx a century in our family and forefathers. Our forefathers had been decorating this craft for their livelihood. They were excellent in making household goods and high end products for royal families. They were honored many times by them.
Around
1960
,
our father, with his brother, started the work on large scale to sale the products to various exporters. They used many techniques to do the work faster and finely. Along with this, they started to train the young boys in this industry. By their devotion and hard working, this city is now known as wood craft city. They used to work on
Ebony Wood, Sandal wood and on Ivory too.
After restrictions on these raw materials they started to work on Sheesham Wood, Haldu wood, Mango Wood and now a new addition is imported woods like beech wood and maple wood.
