1. 316/316L stainless steel, also referred to as marine grade stainless steel , is a chromium, nickel, molybdenum alloy of steel that exhibits relatively good strength and corrosion resistance. Along with the titanium alloy Ti6Al4V, 316 stainless is a common choice of material for biomedical implants.
Type 316Ti (UNS S31635) Stainless steel
It is a titanium stabilized version of Type 316 molybdenum -bearing austenitic stainless steel. It is also known as DIN/EN designation No. 1.4571.
Type 316Ti is included in ASTM A 240 for plate, sheet, and strip products, also Available tube product forms Straight Coiled Seamless Seam welded, cold redrawn and annealed.
