What are plastic slip sheet?

Push-pull plastic slip sheets work in the same way as wooden pallets. They are used for storage and shipping; boxes or bags are stacked on top of the sheet and the sheet is moved around with a forklift.

The key difference between push-pull slip sheets and wooden pallets is that slip sheets are made from chipboard, which means they are light and flexible, and can save on both money and storage space.

History of Slip Sheets

Slip sheets were, so far as is known, first used in the mid-1940s for the use of canned fruit. The purpose of this was to reduce the costs of storage for long periods of time.
Slip sheets became vastly popular in the 70’s.
In 1988, Apple Computer saved millions of dollars by using slip sheets to transport computer parts across the seas in ocean shipments.
In 1991, Micropolis revolutionized slipsheets by using the application in airfreight. Today, slip sheets are used for many different applications including semis, air, sea and storage.
