As a general rule, any cable rolled like a garden hose will draw extra powerfrom your poweroutlet, thus putting much more stress and heat on thepower circuit, cables, charger-box, andthe plugs by generating heat.

lf your EV is TESLA,AUDI E-TRON,TOYOTA RAV4, Ford Mustang Mach-e,or Volkswagen ID4please set the car dashboard
amperage/current settingto 40/32 in order to avoid extraheat on the Charger-box, cables, andplugs. Afterward, it will also give you a short circuiterror message and stop charging.

Although the Primecom charger is automatic; it will switch between 16,32, 40 (on 40 AmpModels) different amperage modes, and it will set theamperage rate based on the EV'sonboard charger amp demand. Becausethe EV's default onboard charger amperage ratesettings on TESLA,AUDIE-TRON,TOYOTA RAV4,FORD MUSTANG MACH-E,or VolkswagenID4models is set to 48-Amps, therefore please change the amperage on thedashboardcomputer“charging amperage to 32-Amp or 40Amp" modebefore using your charger.
As a standard rule; electric power cords should not be coiled (like a gardenhose) while inuse; EV cable needs to be unrolled only during charging, fornormal non-charging times itcan be coiled even though it is plugged intothe power outlet.
