The BBQ cooking plate and grate comes pre-oiled with a thin protective layer of cooking oil. When you heat up the BBQ for the first time, scrape off the top layer using a stainless steel palette spatula. Once the grate is clean and hot, it is ready for the first application of oil. We recommend you use a cooking oil such as rapeseed oil - an oil with a high smoke point. Apply in thin layers using a cloth or paper towel. Gradually you will be able to see the formation of a protective, non-slip dark layer of oil. Remember to also apply oil to the sides of the BBQ plate and grate

The AHL type BG1/2/3/4/5/6 BBQ grill is a kind griling experience.
The cook top ring plate is made of 10mm carbon steel and the spun bowl is a high grade of US CORTEN
steel or “weathering” steel.The base is also crafted ofCORTEN steel and is designed with ”Classic" lines and
unsurpassed functionality.ALL AHL BBQ grills have the accessory ring under the cook top ring plate so that
the optional flat center grill grate can be dropped in and lay flush with the cook top ring plate.
Corten steel is a type of steel that develops a protective layer of rust when exposed to atmospheric
conditionsIt means the life span of corten steel is 10 times longer than mild steel and 3-4 times longer
than pre-painted steel.
