2.4-liter Mitsubishi 4G64 (or G64B) gasoline engine has been in production since 1985. It is installed not only on a number of models of the Japanese concern, but also on cars from other manufacturers.
Until 1997, this engine had only one camshaft and conventional multipoint fuel injection. But high technologies, namely GDI, touched in the end and him. Direct fuel injection plus an extra camshaft brought in an additional 37 horsepower and the inherent complications associated with the GDI system.
The 4G6 family also includes engines: 4G61, 4G62, 4G63, 4G63T, 4G67 and 4G69.

Mitsubishi Delica III in 1988 – 1994; Delica IV in 1994 – 2007;

Mitsubishi L200 K34 in 1986 – 1996; L200 K74 in 1996 – 2006; L200 KB4 in 2006 – 2014; L200 KK4 since 2015;
Mitsubishi Outlander CU0 in 2001 – 2004;
Mitsubishi Pajero V30 in 1991 – 1999;
Mitsubishi Space Wagon N30 in 1993 – 1997; Space Wagon N50 in 1997 – 2003.
