The classification of the PH value
1. Acidic: pH values less than 7 are considered acidic. The lower the pH value, the more acidic the solution is.
2. Neutral: pH value of 7 is considered neutral. Pure water has a pH of 7, which means it is neither acidic nor alkaline.
3. Alkaline: pH values greater than 7 are considered alkaline. The higher the pH value, the more alkaline the solution is.
The pH scale is logarithmic, meaning that each whole number change in pH represents a tenfold change in acidity or alkalinity. For example, a solution with a pH of 5 is ten times more acidic than a solution with a pH of 6, and 100 times more acidic than a solution with a pH of 7. Similarly, a solution with a pH of 9 is ten times more alkaline than a solution with a pH of 8, and 100 times more alkaline than a solution with a pH of 7.
Usage
1. Remove the protective cap.
2. Turn the meter on by pressing the ON/OFF button.
3. Immerse it in the solution to be tested without exceeding the maximum immersing level.
4. Stir gently and wait minitues for the reading to stabilize.
5. Press the "Hold" button to lock the reading then you can take it out of the solution.
6. After use, rinse the electrode with distilled water to minimize contamination and replace the protective cap.
