The basic composition of thick coated steel structure fireproof coating is: binder (Portland cement, magnesium chloride or inorganic high temperature bonding agent, etc.), aggregate (expanded vermiculite, expanded perlite, aluminum silicate fiber, mineral wool, rock wool, etc.), chemical additives (modifier, hardener, waterproof agent, etc.), water. Steel structure fireproof coating base material of Portland cement, magnesium chloride cement and inorganic binder, commonly used inorganic binder including alkali metal silicate and phosphate substances.

Because the coating of thick steel structure fire retardant coating is thick and the dosage is much, increase the weight of the building. Therefore, attention should be paid to the addition of some lightweight materials and efficient heat insulation aggregate to reduce the density of the coating. The most used lightweight insulating aggregates are mainly expanded vermiculite and expanded perlite.

The construction method

Spraying method: The use of compressed air and spray gun to paint atomization construction method, it is characterized by uniform coating quality after spraying, high production efficiency. The disadvantage is that a part of the paint is lost, and due to a large amount of solvent evaporation, affect the operator's health. The key equipment of air spraying is spray gun. The spray gun is usually divided into gravity type, suction type and pressure feeding type according to the coating supply mode, and is divided into small and large two types according to the spraying capacity. Paint viscosity is high, need air pressure, nozzle should be selected large caliber; Low viscosity of the paint, the need for small pressure, nozzle can choose small caliber. The air pressure of air spraying is generally 0.3~0.6MPa.

Construction environment
