Tempered glass/toughened glass is safety glass with increased strength both physically and thermally. It is heated up to about 700 degrees and then rapidly quenched, the toughening will create "balanced internal stresses" which would mean that if broken the glass would crumble into small, less harmful pieces as opposed to dangerous large shards. Tempered glass is 4-5 times stronger than annealed. And tecture tempered glass is certified with the international standards of AN/NZS 2208-1996, ANSI Z97.1-2009, BS6206:1981 and CE standards. We are also able to do the heat soaked treatment.
