Cyclamate is a white crystalline powder obtained by reacting cyclohexylamine with chlorosulfonic acid or amino acid or sulfamic acid or sulfur trioxide, treating with NaOH, and recrystallizing. Among the high-sweetness sweeteners, cyclamate has the lowest sweetness, which is only 30-80 times that of sucrose, and has a more natural flavor, less bitter aftertaste, and high thermal stability.
