Natural Organic Fertilizer Chitin Chitosan Used as Blueberry Fertilizer

Chitosan Dissolution method:

Chitosan is not soluble in water and alkali solution, it’s soluble in dilute acid. (Chitosan solution will be hydrolysis slowly in olefine acid, so the solution is generally used once made)

Dissolve Chitosan in 1%~3% acetic acid solution, dilute to 0.5%~0.01% solution. Spread the solution on the surface of the seed before sowing.

C. Improve Soil Quality

D. Keep Fruit and Vegetable Fresh

As a natural fresh-keeping agent, it has good film formation and certain selective and infiltrating effects, reduces vapor loss, inhibits fruit from becoming putrid.

Treat strawberry and grapes etc fruits with 1%~2% chitosan solution, which can prolong 2 days of their storage date under normal temperature.

E. Increase Fertilizer Availability

Chitosan has such properties, viscous solution, and easy film formation. Its strong film formation function can delay the release of fertilizer elements, reduce nutrient loss, increase fertilizer availability.

F. Kill Nematodes

Mix Chitosan with a suitable carrier, it can be made into an effective natural pesticide to prevent nematodes.
