Mini Prism for Total Station
Designed for the surveying of high-precision project, it is compatible with various total stations to carry out high-precision surveying, and is widely used in high-precision surveying and mapping for high-speed railway and other field. In conjunction with the total station, orientation and ranging can be carried out. The operational principle is that the total station sends out a laser beam. After calculating the reflection time of corner cube prism, the distance from the total station to corner cube prism can be calculated according to the speed of light. Then the total station can calculate the coordinates of the prism according to the coordinates of the rear view.
1.Feature of corner cube prism:
Corner cube prism is also known as a CCR or trihedral prism manufactured from fine BK7 optical glass
It consists of three adjacent, mutually-orthogonal plane-reflecting surfaces which form the corner of cube
The corner cube reflects the incident ray at a specific angle, independent of the prism and beam orientations
Reflect the incident light at 180 degrees
A number of coating options are available. The front face may have an AR coating applied,and the three reflecting faces may have metallic or dielectric coating or may remain uncoated.
2.Application
Corner cubes are used in a wide variety of applications such as spectroscopy, battlefield, technology laser resonator cavities, land surveying, ground base range-finding, satellite communications and space vehicle docking.
