Rattan Core
Rattan Core is also called center-cane.
Rattan core is mostly used in baskets and wicker furniture. They can be cut/produced from many different species of rattan, but only a handful is suitable for commercial application.
The main determining factor in rattan core is the choice of right material. Good rattan core should be pliable (flexible and strong) that would bend smoothly without a kink. Unlike wood, rattan should not crack, split, or snap when bent. It should have a firm smooth texture. Well-cut rattan core is uniform in size & shape along the full length of the core.
Rattan Skin
Rattan Skin are especially smooth to take off any irregularity. Both traditional and contemporary, rattan skin is omnipresent in furniture and daily objects. Furthermore, this ecological product is perfectly adapted for the weaving work. Wider and cruder than the traditional chair cane, this material is most of the time used as a tie for weaving and traditional basketwork. Rattan skin is more than ever in vogue and it will bring modernity and natural to your home decoration. Combine to the traditional chair can you will realize a wild range of furniture.
Rattan Cane
Rattan Cane is actually from the rattan plant. The word “cane” means the stem-section of plants, so the “rattan cane” is the stem of the rattan plant. Rattan canes (also called stems or poles) with large diameters are mainly used in making furniture.
