FAQ
Q: What is the difference in performance between 3K, 12K, and 18K carbon?
A: For pickleball paddles, 3K carbon is rigid for power, 12K carbon has some flex for control, and 18K carbon is the most flexible for touch shots. The rigid 3K performs best with the hard pickleballs but can be noisy, so go thicker to reduce sound. The softer 12K and 18K favor control.
Q: What is the difference in performance with Kevlar surfaces?
A: Kevlar is extremely durable but noisy. It generates lots of pop and power for aggressive hitting. Go thicker to reduce the sound. It’s stronger than carbon fiber.
Q: What difference do the edge guards make? Can you add lead tape?
A: PVC edges are hard, PU has some flex - personal preference. Yes, lead tape can be added to any paddle.
Q: Can you apply gritty textures to all paddles?
A: Yes, we can add a gritty sandpaper-like surface to any paddle for extra spin.
Q: How does a gritty surface differ from friction carbon?
A: Gritty has a sandy texture while friction carbon uses a grippy cloth weave. Both increase spin.
Q: Can you do full custom graphics on carbon fiber?
A: UV printing works for simple designs. For full coverage graphics, water decals are needed.
Q: What core materials do you use?
A: PP best reduces noise. Nomex/aluminum have more vibration. EVA also absorbs shock well.
Q: Can you make combo paddles?
A: Yes for CNC milling but not Thermoformed.
Q: Can you supply other gear too?
A: Yes, we offer balls, nets, bags, and more for one-stop shopping.
