Products Description
This series of dishes is covered with a special glaze called "crystal glaze," fired in a main kiln, and then fired in red enamel with a silver overglaze called "unmogin," which gives the dishes an elegant luster.
This simple, sophisticated color palette complements a variety of ingredients, and at times, it can even artistically enhance a dish.
Arita-yaki or Arita-ware is porcelain produced in the whole area of Arita Town, Saga Prefecture.
It is also called Imari ware because it was once shipped from the neighboring Imari port to all over Japan.
Arita-yaki was developed after Sakaida Kakiemon succeeded in unique color painting in 1643, and is now widely popular in the world as tableware and craftwork product.
There are variations in depth and they can be stacked one on top of the other.
There are also many other types of plates. Please feel free to ask us.
