Navigation buoy refers to a kind of buoy floating on the water surface, which is anchored at a specified position to mark the channel range, indicate shoals, obstacles or indicate the surface navigation aids for special purposes. Buoys are widely used in navigation aids, and are set where it is difficult or inappropriate to set up fixed navigation aids.
