Heavy industrial buildings is a collection of structures that consist of large section steel components with heavy self weight, large height or large spans.The are widely used in industrial production lines like shipyard workshops, multi-floor frame structures like power plant workshops, chemical plants, coal washery plants, concrete plants, etc..
Frame structure is the most common structure type for heavy industrial buildings as they always need to support high rise turbine equipment and realize compliated functions with multiple floors. The frame structure is always connected with trestle stucture galleries that transport raw materials to the processing zone. Large span PEB structure that calls for huge columns in H sections, lattice sections, box sections are also listed here as heavy industrial buildings.
