Feature:
This product is mainly used to measure the thickness of non-conductive coatings on metal surfaces, as well as ferromagnetic metals (such as iron, nickel, cobalt, etc.), such as the thickness of paint on the surface of automobiles, the thickness of coatings on metal parts, and so on.
This product also has a built-in dual-principle probe of magnetic induction and eddy current, which can automatically identify the metal substrate to be tested. It only needs to be placed on the metal substrate to be tested, and the thickness of the coating can be automatically calculated.

Measurement steps:
Step 1: Prepare the parts to be tested.
Step 2: Stay away from metal objects at least 2 cm, press the switch to open.
Note: It is recommended to perform a zero adjustment test on the instrument with reference to "Zero Calibration" before calibration.
Step 3: Place the probe vertically and quickly on the surface to be measured until you hear a dripping sound, display the measured value on the screen, and then lift the probe at least 2 cm away from the screen to measure the part to be measured, you can perform the next measurement.
Note: If the automatic shutdown function is turned on and there is no operation within 3 minutes, the instrument will automatically turn off.
There are two calibration methods for this machine:
1. Basic calibration: Basic calibration should be performed when it is used for the first time, or when it has not been used for a long time, or when the tested substrate is replaced.
There are 7 calibration methods for basic calibration points, and the calibration unit is millimeters.
A. Prepare 6 standard films with a thickness of 0.04 - 0.06, 0.09 - 0.11, 0.22 - 0.28, 0.45 - 0.55, 1.90 - 1.05, 1.90 - 2.00.
B. First press and hold the up button, and then press the on button, the LCD displays the kettle on the full screen, and then hears BI, the LCD displays 00mm, and the LCD displays the CAL character at the bottom right corner of the LCD. Release the up button to indicate to enter the calibration screen.
C. Gently press the probe on the uncoated aluminum base, the LCD displays 0.00 at this time, and then BI-BI calibration twice.
D. Remove the probe and display a 0.05mm number on the LCD. The second digital calibration is to gently press the probe on the aluminum base where the calibration sheet is placed.
After adjusting the value displayed on the LCD and the thickness of the calibration sheet, press the up and down keys to remove the probe and Bibi sound. The second calibration point has been calibrated.
Zero calibration:
In order to improve the test accuracy, it is suggested that the instrument should be calibrated to zero.
a. Preparation of uncoated substrate to be tested
b. Hold down the right hand until you hear the drop, and the "zero calibration (ZERO)" on the screen will begin to flicker.
c. The probe is placed vertically and quickly on the surface of the uncoated substrate to be tested.
After hearing the dripping sound, the screen will display "0", and the probe can be lifted at least 2 cm away from the substrate, that is, to return to zero once.
