Product Description
Products Information
UNS K93600/4J36
J36 (INVA36/K93600/1.3912), commonly known as Invar, is a nickel-iron alloy consisting of 36% nickel, 63.8% iron, and 0.2% carbon. It has an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion and can maintain a fixed length in a wide temperature range. Its thermal elastic coefficient is practically zero (that is, Young's modulus does not change) in a fairly wide temperature range, and its thermal expansion coefficient is also very low.
It is a wonderful alloy discovered by French physicist C.E.Guialme in 1896. The thermal expansion coefficient of this alloy is significantly reduced near the magnetic temperature, that is, the Curie point, and the so-called abnormal thermal expansion phenomenon occurs, so that it can be used in a wide temperature range near room temperature, or very small even close to zero expansion coefficient, is a face-centered cubic structure, its grade is 4J36, its Chinese name is Yingang, and its English name is Invar alloy (invar), which means that the volume does not change.
