MPO patch cord is a type of fiber optic cable use for high-speed data transmission. MPO means”Multi-fiber Push-On/Pull-off”,as a connector type that allows multiple fibers to be connected and disconnected at once.
MPO patch cord typically consists of a single cable with an MPO connector on each end. The connector designing to plug into a corresponding MPO port, which is typically found on high-density fiber optic equipment such as switches, routers, and servers.
MPO Patch Cord Line Sequences
Polarity A (straight through) :
The positions of the fibers on both ends of the MPO patch cable are the same, it means, the “1” on one end corresponds to the “1” on the other end, and the “12” on one end corresponds to the “12” on the other end. The keys at both ends face opposite directions. “key up” corresponds to “key down”.
Polarity B (staggered type) :
The positions of the fibers on both ends of the MPO patch cable are opposite, that is, the “1” on one end corresponds to the “12” on the other end, and the “12” on one end corresponds to the “1” on the other end. The key orientation at both ends is the same, that is, “key up” corresponds to “key up”, and “key down” corresponds to “key down”.
Type C (paired staggered type) :
