Quartz Glass
The quartz glass have its unique optical characteristics. It not only can pass far ultraviolet, but also is the best among all ultraviolet materials, and can pass visible light and near infrared spectrum. Quartz glass has the advantages of high temperature resistance, small thermal expansion coefficient, good chemical stability, bubbles, streaks, uniformity and birefringence. It is an optical material with high stability under various adverse conditions. It can be divided into three categories according to its optical properties: JGS1 quartz glass, JGS2 quartz glass, and JGS3 quartz glass.
Far Ultraviolet Quartz Glass- JGS1
It is optical quartz glass melted with high-purity hydrogen and oxygen, so it contains a large amount of hydroxyl groups (2000ppm) and has excellent ultraviolet transmission performance, especially in the short-wave ultraviolet region, the transmittance at 185nm can reach 90%. Synthetic quartz glass has a strong absorption peak at 2730nm and is an excellent optical material in the 185nm-2500nm band.
Ultraviolet Quartz Glass- JGS2
It is quartz glass produced using quartz raw materials and oxychlorine flame.
, contains tens of ppm of metal impurities, has an absorption peak at 2730nm, has a hydroxyl content between 100-200ppm, has stripes and grain structures, and is a good material that transmits light in the 220nm-2500um band.
Infrared Quartz Glass- JGS3
It is quartz glass produced using quartz raw materials and vacuum electrofusion method. It contains tens of ppm of metal impurities, has a small bubble particle structure and stripes, contains almost no hydroxyl groups, and has high infrared transmission performance, with a transmittance of over 85%. , is an excellent optical material in the range of 260nm-3500um
