Drip irrigation , is an irrigation method that saves water and fertilizer by allowing water to drip slowly to the roots of plants, either onto the soil surface or directly onto the root zone , through a network of valves , pipes , tubing , and emitters . It is done through narrow tubes that deliver water directly to the base of the plant.

Manually or automatically operated control valves are used to turn the water on and off. Automatic control valves are wired to a controller.

FILTER:sand filter(plastic or metal),screen filter,mesh filter

All drip systems need some type of filter to keep dirt from clogging the emitters.

PRESSURE REGULATOR:

Most drip systems operate at low pressure, usually less than 20PSI. Pressure regulators reduce incoming water pressure to the ideal pressure for the drip system.

EMITTERS:

These connect to the tubing or can be inside the tubing and deliver water at a slow, consistent rate, usually, 0.5, 1, 2 or 4 gallons per hour.

FLUSH VALVE/CAP:

A flush cap is attached to the end of each irrigation line so that dirt and debris can be flushed out of the irrigation system.
