Electric Head pressure controls regulate HVAC system pressure to help prevent evaporator freezing, low-pressure cutouts, and liquid overflow in compressors. With features like hard starts, cutoffs, and bypass, head pressure controls can also help eliminate overshoots and control circuits in HVAC systems.
The electric control valve designation stands for Low Ambient Control and heat pump heating temperature. The transducer is logic analog output that responds to discharge pressure. When the outdoor ambient falls, the condensing pressure falls as well. The typical method of maintaining normal head pressure is to restrict liquid flow from the condenser to receiver.
