DESCRIPTION

ShunAn high performance, superior strong flexible tile adhesive is a professional-grade, high performance, one-component, cement based, polymer-modified thin-set mortar for all kinds of porcelain, stone, granite & marble, swimming pool mosaics and ceramic tiles fixing.

Its unique, high polymer modification provides the superior bonding characteristics for installation of wall and floor tile and stone over most surfaces.

BASIC USES

It can be used as an universal tile adhesive. Especially designed for the Installation low water absorption porcelain tile, large and heavy tiles, swimming pool tiles, quarry tile, pavers, most monocotturra tiles, slate, and most types of marble, granite and natural stone.

RECOMMENDED SURFACES

ShunAn porcelain, stone, granite & marble adhesive can be used to lay tiles onto the concrete, cement render, block work, rendered brickwork surfaces, cement board and calcium silicone board.

ShunAn porcelain stone, granite & marble adhesive can be used on walls and floors in both dry/ wet

and interior/exterior application.

SURFACE PREPARATION

- All surfaces must be structurally sound, clean and free from movement, oil,  grease, wax, curing compounds and other loose contaminating materials.

Painted surfaces must be rubbed off to expose at least 80% of the original substrate.

- New concrete must be allowed to cure for 28 days.

Newly rendered surfaces must be allowed to cure for at least 7 days.

- Steel trowel finished surfaces must be acid etched or wire brushed prior to tiling.

For old concrete and rendered surfaces, a strong commercial grade detergent or degreaser must be used to clean.

- All surface to be dry for at least 24 hours prior to tiling.

- Ensure all release agents are removed from concrete surfaces, especially tilt-up slabs.

Technical Data

APPLICATION

1 . Always add ShunAn premium grade tile adhesive powder to clean water, mixing continuously until a thick creamy consistency is achieved.

2. The mixing ratio is 20kg of always add ShunAn premium grade tile adhesive powder to approximately 4 - 4.8 liters of water.

3. Allow the mixture to stand for 10 minutes, remix then use the adhesive.

4. Spread the adhesive onto the substrate using a 6mmx6mm notched trowel for walls, a 10mmx10mm - 12mmx12mm notched trowel for floor tiles.

5. Ensure that there are no voids under the tiles. For tiles with deep grooves or ridges, the adhesive should be buttered onto the back of the tiles in the addition to being troweled onto the substrate.

Note: the adhesive coverage must be uniform and cover the entire tile thoroughly. the bed thickness must be approximately half the height of the square notched trowel used.

COVERAGE

Normal consumption of ShunAn premium grade superior strong tile adhesive is 4 -8.0 kg/m2.

Consumption varies according to the site conditions and building up required.

SHELF LIFE

12 months from production date when stored in dry, heated conditions.
