The Davis magnetic tube or Davis magnetic tester is a laboratory machine,designed to separate a small sample of pulverized magnetic iron ore into magnetic and non-magnetic fractions. The Davis separation tube is positioned between poles of a powerful electromagnet at an angle of 45° (adjustable) that is agitated back and forth and rotated by a motorized system. Magnetic particles are collected inside the tube in the zone of intense magnetism and all non-magnetic minerals are washed out.

This magnetic tube is C type electromagnet fitted with glass tube between pole ends to reciprocally move and swing. when the test materials to be separated pass through magnetic fields, the magnetic portion will be absorbed near the tube walls and the non-magnetic portion will be washed down by water in the mechanical movement and discharged. the product is produced by the only enterprise designated by the former ministry of Geology and mineral resources, in compliance with the industrial standards. XCGSφ50 magnetic tube lies between the two ends of electromagnet. it is equipped with glass tube to reciprocate and swing. when the sorted samples pass the magnetic field, the magnetic parts get close to the tube wall. the non magnetic parts are discharged after washed away by water

Working Condition

The small magnetic tube equipment is special designed to test and define the magnetic intensity of the test mineral. Which is been widely used in iron, coal mining test lab. This equipment is working under wet condition, the water feeding from the yellow plastic hopper with solid mineral powder.

Operating process

1. install and check the machine is in good condition 2. prepare a 1 litre glass cup. 3. add 20 gram mineral power with 500ml water, and small amount of alcohol, mixing it and place it at least 5 minute. 4. set the magnetic intensity as requirement. 5. use the clip to close the small hose, put one basin under the hose mouth, then start the machine. 6. add water to the glass tube until the water over the magnet head about 50mm. 7. add the mixture into the tube. 8. open the clip, so the non-magnetic powder will go with the water, and the magnetic mineral stay in the tube. 9. add water little by little from the top of the tube until all the non-magnetic powder go away.

Packing Normally the machines are taken apart before delivery and are packed by suitable packing ways, the packing ways are as below: 1. Nude packing. 2. Bundle packing. 3. Grass rope packing. 4. Water proof packing. 5. Wooden pallets packing. 6. Wooden box or carton box packing.
