Products Descripition
1. The SB series concentric pump housings areheavier and stronger to outlast conventional pumps. Thehousings are thicker for extra strengthand extendedservice life. The concentric design allows the distancebetween the impeller and the housing to be the same atall points. The concentric housing eliminates turbulenceand cavitations within the pump. It also reduces the radialload on the bearing. the full pipe diameter of the pumpentrance. The housing gasket is recessed to protect itfrom fluid leaving the impeller.
2.The SB series open-vane impeller eliminatesrecirculation that occurs in closed impellers. The impelleris designed to reduce turbulence, lower radial and thrustloads, and provides a smooth flow of fluid through thepump. Housing wear is reduced by eliminating the highscrubbing action that occurs on conventional pumps.The SB series impeller is designed to allow fluid leavingthe impeller to blend with recirculating fluid to reduceabrasive wear of the casing. The open-vane impeller hasno exposed impeller nuts or shaft threads. The impeller isscrewed on and the threads are protected by O-ring. TheSB series pump and impeller are designed to increaseservice life many times over that of conventional pumps.
3. The SB series shaft has a greater diameter to provide heavy-duty performance with minimal shaft deflection.The replaceable shaft sleeve allows the wear from thepacking to be renewed without replacing the entire shaft.
