1 .How exactly do I open this? I am looking at a maze of rolled wire and not finding any edge to use.
To open the rolled wire, please snip the wire that is wrapped from the outside to the middle of the roll. That wire holds the roll together. Once it is unrolled, you will be able to set up the poultry netting.
2. Can I use this to make an outdoor cat tunnel? Will it hold it's shape?
Yes, it will hold its shape as it is very malleable. Just be very careful with how you handle the edges as they are very sharp. Once they are bent over, they should be fine.
3. What is the best tool to cut the chicken wire?
Sheet metal cutters, Diagonal wire cutters or a multi-tool with needle nose pliers that have cutters in them. The pliers can help with bending the wire at seams.
4. Would this be good to protect bulbs that I want to plant from squirrels and chipmunks?
Yes, poultry netting can be used to protect bulbs from squirrels and chipmunks. Poultry netting is easy to cut with metal snips.
5. Can I use galvanised chicken mesh to protect my flowerbeds from digging animals and defecating cats?
Yes. We’d recommend the Super HDG option. Either attach it to posts and surround the flowerbed, or lie the netting flat on the soil and cover with dirt. Once detected by the animal it will likely stop digging.
6.How do I attach the mesh to my coop?
Unravel the netting and use a pair of pliers/cutters to create the desired length.
Wearing protective gloves, fold about an inch of the netting over at each end to avoid sharp edges that may harm your birds.
Use a staple gun to attach the netting to posts, or to the outside of your coop.
