Laser marking is a marking method that uses a high energy density laser to irradiate the workpiece, vaporize the surface material or react with color changes, thus leaving a permanent mark.
Principle of laser marking color development:
1. Formation of colored oxides
2. A colorless transparent oxide film is formed, resulting in interference and color
3. At the same time, colored oxide and colorless oxide film are formed

Ordinary fiber laser vaporizes or oxidizes the material surface through high temperature thermal effect, which can only form burning marks on the general metal surface, so it is difficult to form pure black and color marking effect.

The pulse width and frequency of MOPA laser can be adjusted in a wide range. By adjusting the laser pulse width and frequency,transparent oxide film and colored oxide film can be obtained on different metals.
