Composite insulator have very light weight. It weighs only 1/10 of the same grade porcelain and glass insulators. It also have high mechanical lifting load and high temperature resistance. They are suitable for heavy pollution, high mechanical lifting load, long-span and compact high-voltage lines. Its pollution lightning voltage is 30%-50% higher than that of ceramic and glass insulators of the same grade. Its performance is stable at ambient temperature between -60 and 200 degrees Celsius. The non-breakdown design is adopted and zero value is not needed to be measured in operation.
