The Advantages of Red Copper
Many professional alcohol distillers prefer to use as much copper as possible in the alcohol still. These copper components include the plate column, dephlegmator, product condenser, parrot, aroma gin basket and fittings such as elbows and reducers. These copper rods don't just make the machine look more elegant, they also help to remove the sulphides and fusel oil. The latter tends to make the spirit taste bitter and people get drunk easily.
