Fluorescent whitening agent, also known as optical whitening agent. Commonly known as white fluorescent dye (f1uorescentwhiteningdye). A class of organic compounds capable of absorbing ultraviolet light and emitting blue or blue-violet visible light. Many Chemicalbook industrial products, such as textiles, paper, plastics, etc., often have a visually undesirable yellow hue, using the principle of blue and yellow complementary colors, adding fluorescent whitening agent treatment, can eliminate yellow, so that the treated matter appears white and bright.
Fluorescent brighteners can absorb invisible ultraviolet light (wavelength range of about 360-380nm), convert to longer wavelength blue or purple visible light, thus compensating for the unwanted yellow color in the matrix, while reflecting more visible light than the original incident wavelength in the 400-600nm range. So that the products appear more white, brighter, more vivid.
