Whether on-site or in the laboratory—the SHATOX Series analyzers are the leader in portable, fast analytical instruments. SHATOX designs and produces analytical instruments for gasoline, diesel, oil and transformer oils.
Portable octane analyzers are commonly used for on-site analysis of octane ratings of powered gasoline, corresponding to motor and research methods (RON and MON), and are also applicable to cetane analysis of diesel. In addition, the temperature of the liquid to be analyzed and the freezing point of the diesel fuel can also be measured, and the measurement results are displayed on the LCD liquid crystal display.
The SHATOX octane analyzer is widely used throughout the world. Its measurement method complies with international standards: octane measurement is in accordance with: ASTM D 2699-86, ASTM D 2700-86. Diesel cetane measurement is in accordance with: ASTM D 4737- 03, ASTM D 613, EN ISO 5165.
Measuring principle:
The principle of the octane analyzer is measured by analyzing the octane number of gasoline and the insulating permeability and electromagnetic induction of the cetane number of diesel. The results were determined by measuring the dielectric properties of the sample and comparing it to known parameters in the presence of the memory. The instrument is very sensitive and can measure small changes in dielectric parameters. It can detect petroleum product parameters such as octane number and cetane number.
