1.Construction conditions
Universal adhesive suitable bonding temperature of 25 ± 5 ℃, humidity of 55-75%, need to be fully mixed before use. Universal adhesive contains volatile solvents, construction should keep the air clear, do not approach the open flame or high temperature. Generally speaking, universal adhesive in winter below 5 ℃, there may be a gel phenomenon, affecting the use, then available 30 ℃ -50 ℃ of hot water will be soaked in glue cans for 20 minutes can be restored to its original state, the performance remains unchanged, can continue to use.
2. Surface requirements
Universal adhesive in the use of the surface of the sticky object before the appropriate treatment is necessary, including oil, rust, moisture, sanding, to keep the surface clean, dry, firm; oil, stains can be used 120 # gasoline, toluene or ethyl acetate and other fast-drying solvents to scrub clean and dry, sanding, sandpaper is generally gently sanded with 0 # or 1 # sandpaper. When gluing plywood, flooring, bamboo or other wood products, the moisture content of the glued material before gluing must be required to be below 8%, if it is higher than 8%, the glued material should be air-dried or dried before gluing.
3.Gluing
General materials can be coated with glue once. For porous materials, need to be coated 2-3 times, and must be completely evaporated in the last glue solvent before the next coating, not too hasty.
In order to prevent the adhesive layer residual air, painting should be moved in the same direction, which is conducive to the discharge of air, but note that the scraping speed should not be too fast. Generally, the thinner the glue layer, the fewer defects, the smaller the shrinkage, the higher the bonding strength. The glue layer should be thin rather than thick, the glue layer is too thick, it will not dry, sticky and blistering and other defects. Therefore, under the premise of ensuring that there is no lack of glue, the glue layer as thin as possible. The thickness of the glue layer should generally be controlled at 0.08-0.15mm is appropriate, that is, the amount of glue for 250-350g / square metre.
4. Airing
The purpose of drying is to let the solvent evaporate cleanly, increase viscosity and promote curing. After applying the glue must make the solvent evaporate cleanly, do not immediately bonding, so as to avoid the adhesive layer sticky or produce bubbles, resulting in a decline in bonding quality. The drying time is generally 5-15 minutes / 25 ℃. To be a dry film of the adhesive layer (with a finger touching the non-stick finger), should be immediately aligned with the adhesive; drying time should not be too long, so as not to lose the adhesive layer of viscosity, affecting the bonding strength.
5.Pressing
Universal adhesive viscous force, bonding must look at the right time, a one-time alignment of the position of the bonding, not to move back and forth. After bonding, take the press, hammer pressure or rolling way to drive away the air, dense adhesive layer, improve the quality of bonding.
6.Maximum strength
Although the universal adhesive can form a good adhesive force in a short time, it takes 3-5 days to reach the maximum strength, so the joints with large bearing force should be placed for a sufficient period of time before use.
7.Storage
Universal adhesive should be stored in a cool, dry and away from children. Do not let direct sunlight, high temperature, poor sealing or long exposure time, the solvent volatilisation will result in viscosity too large for construction. Available toluene, ethyl acetate, butanone or acetone or flush thin, can be stirred to continue to use.
8. Other
Furniture surface such as wood grain or cat's eye paper, it is recommended to use water-based latex, otherwise the strong solvents in the universal adhesive will dissolve the grain of the wood grain paper. Universal adhesive can not stick can be toluene, ethyl acetate, butanone, acetone and other dissolved plastics, such as polystyrene rigid foam (commonly known as benzene), etc., it is recommended to switch to neoprene latex for bonding.
