Q What is the function of a candle jar?
A Candle jars are used to grow bacteria requiring an increased CO2 concentration (capnophiles). Candle jars increase CO2 concentrations and still leave some O2 for aerobic capnophiles.
Q Where can I buy candle jars?
A Jar Store offers cases of empty glass jars for all of your candle needs. Our candle jars range from small 2 oz jars that are perfect for small samples or gifts to large 31 oz. apothecary jars for your largest candles. Most of our candle jars come with an option to add a lid or can be purchased without.
Q Can you reuse candle jars for new candles?
A All you have to do is bake the containers on low heat until the wax drips out by itself.And you can keep containers that fit with your decor—even repurposing them into vases, small storage jars, and more. Plus, these containers should come out so clean that you could even give them away as gifts.
Q How do you clean and reuse candle jars?
A Put the pot on the stove, place your jar candle in the water, and use an extremely low heat to warm the water and soften the wax (enough to collect the wax at the bottom of the pot). After the wax has collected at the bottom, wait for the wax and jar to completely cool, and place the jar in the freezer.
