Is transparent daylighting tiles PC/FRP or PVC better?
At present, the commonly used daylighting tiles in the market include PC transparent tiles, PVC transparent tiles, and FRP transparent tiles. They have different materials and properties.
Let's take a look at what material is durable transparent tiles:
1. PC transparent tile, also known as PC sunlight board, is a lighting board mainly made of polycarbonate, which has the highest light transmittance among the three types of transparent tiles.
However, the surface of PC transparent tiles is easily scratched and has low acid and alkali resistance and corrosion resistance, making them suitable for PC transparent tiles in corrosive or large-span workshops.
If a large-span steel structure building is used, the transparency of the PC is also prone to breakage.
2.FRP transparent tiles are made mainly of glass fiber reinforced plastic, with high light transmittance, suitable for large-area and large-span steel structure buildings.
3.PVC anti-corrosion tiles mainly have good flame retardant performance, with an oxygen index of over 32, which cannot be compared to a general chemical oxygen index of around 20. Therefore, PVC anti-corrosion tiles are mainly used in indoor design and shading wall panels; The weight of the second PVC anti-corrosion tile is acceptable, with good support points and high stiffness, making it the preferred choice for wall panels; The third PVC anti-corrosion tile is resistant to strong acid and alkali.
