1 . Introduction
3HP Glycol Chiller is typically used for micro brewery beer system.
It is usually used to cool beer fermenter and brite beer tank to keep the beer in a constant temperature.
Its working principle is: The Freon is compressed by the compresser.
Glycol water go inside and make heat exchange with cold Fron.
Then the cooled glycol water goes outside and being sent to the jackets on Beer fermenter and brite beer tank.
The conversion between BTU and HP depends on the target temperature you are requiring.
Lower target temperature, Lower cool capacity for same one chiller.
In beer brewing process, we need to cool the glycol to minus 5Celsius.
For one 3HP chiller, its cooling capacity is 5.7KW. 1BTU=0.293W.
So 3HP=19753.9BTU/H under -5 Celsius target temperature request.
