The main raw material of black corundum is alumina, and the content is 70% to 80%. It contains many impurities, such as silicon oxide and titanium oxide. It is a black corundum. It is a new type of environmental protection material.

The smelting method of black corundum is basically the same as that of brown corundum. The production method of black corundum is to select high-quality bauxite, iron oxide and other raw materials, add other trace elements, and carefully smelt in the inclined arc furnace to ensure that the smelted block black corundum are first-class products with less impurities, high grade and stable quality. It lays a foundation for the production of segment sand, particle size sand and fine powder with moderate hardness, good toughness, excellent performance and stability.
