Groove Scraper fineness test
BGD 241/1 0-25um
Fineness plate is a flat steel block with grooves on the surface, the depth of the grooves changing from the maximum at one end to zero at the other end. A scale marking the depth of one or more grooves on the steel block to read out the size of the measured particles. It is designed in accordance with GB/T 1724, GB/T6753.1, ISO1524 for the determination of paint, paint slurry, ink and other liquids and slurry and the size and dispersion of pigment and impurity particles.
Purpose : Used for determining the size and dispersion of pigment and impurity particles in paints, paints, inks and other liquids and pulps.

Matters Needing Attention
1.Protect well the gauge and blade, avoid damage or deformation of the device, so as to avoid measurement errors
2.Keep cleaning after use and cover with some anti-rust oil.
3.When measuring high viscosity of the sample, should diluent the sample’s viscosity then testing.
4.Check out the blade edge and the straightness of the gauge, if any damage is found,it should be corrected by the
national verification agencies, then it can be used.
