Product Description

RSIC-1

Resilient sound clips are isolation mounts that install in rows directly to the ceiling or wall framing. The resilient clips then
have furring hat channel attached via pressure fit and layers of drywall or wood fasten to the channel. Decoupling is the most effective way to isolate sound over all other methods including damping, mass, and absorption products.
The RSIC-1 Sound Isolation Clip can be used to create floated walls and ceilings, in both commercial and residential projects. By breaking the vibration path from one side of a wall to the other, RSIC-1 Clips absorb the noise before it gets to the other side- particularly low frequency vibrations like sub woofers, and very loud voices.
Installation Instructions

RSIC Isolation Clips are simply screwed into your existing framing system. The rubber gasket helps to decouple the connection
point between the hat channel and your framing system. In turn, this helps to further “float” your final drywall layer off and away from the structure of your building, forcing the collapse of the transmitting sound wave. Just like snipping the string pulled tight between two coffee cans.
