A lag screw, or lag bolt, is a full-bodied bolt with a hex head, spaced threads, and a gimlet point. They are generally used to connect heavy lumber and other materials that bear an intense load
Typically, lag screw sizes range from 1/4" to 3/4" in diameter, and lengths span from about 1" to 16". Length is measured from under the head to the threaded tip of the screw.
Lag screws have widely spaced, coarse threads (10 threads per inch for a 1/4" diameter screw, decreasing to just 3 1/4 threads per inch for a 1 1/4" lag screw)
· For use with any outdoor project; common applications include retaining walls, deck frames, and outdoor play equipment
· Stainless steel finish provides anti-corrosive properties
· Slightly stronger than regular (un-hardened) steel bolts
