Introduction
The MG-12000P Flight Battery (hereafter referred to as “the battery”) has a capacity of 12,000 mAh
at a voltage of 44.4 V. The battery features a charging and discharging monitoring function, and its
advanced power management system and high energy battery cells mean it can provide the power
that your aircraft requires.
Battery Functions
The functions of the MG-12000P are as follows:
1.
Battery Level Display: The current battery level can be indicated by the LEDs.
2.
Communication: Battery parameters including voltage and charge are transmitted to the aircraft
to enable the aircraft to take appropriate action when battery parameters change.
3.
Battery Management: When the battery is connected to the aircraft the management system is
active. The battery enters into power saving mode when it is disconnected from the aircraft.
4.
Battery Exception Record: Battery exceptions such as excessive charging/discharging, the
temperature being outside the ranges allowed for charging/discharging, and the battery being stored long-term with the charge level outside the recommended range are recorded and can be accessed by authorized dealer engineers when troubleshooting or repairing.
5.
Charging Exceptions: Exceptions that occur during charging are indicated by the LEDs. Refer to the LED Patterns section for more details.
6.
Auto Balancing: When the battery is in power saving mode for certain length of time, it automatically balances its cell voltages.
7.
Auto Discharging: If the battery remains fully charged for more than 10 days it automatically discharges to 65% charge.
8.
Removable Ports: If the Power Port or Charging and Balancing Port are found to be burned, corroded, or otherwise damaged they can be replaced by an authorized dealer.
Using the Battery
Check if the battery firmware version is compatible with the aircraft before using the battery. (Refer to the aircraft documentation for information about how to check the firmware version compatibility).
If the firmware update fails be sure to retry. Only use the battery once it has been successfully updated. Refer to the LED Patterns section to see the warning of battery update failure.
Battery Care and Maintenance
•
Never use or store the battery or the charger when the temperature is outside the recommended ranges.
•
Never store the battery in vehicles in summer where the temperature is far above 114 ° F (50° C).
•
Never over-charge or discharge, as this may lead to battery cell damage.
•
Battery life may be reduced if not used for a long time. Fully charge and discharge the battery at least once every three months to maintain battery health.
•
Regularly clean the rubber covers and change the rubber covers if there is any liquid or residue on them. If the Power Port or Charging and Balancing Port are found to be burned, corroded, or otherwise damaged contact an authorized dealer to arrange replacement.
