(1/30 Scale Miniature Ishiyama-dera Pagoda) The Ishiyama-dera Pagoda is a pagoda at Ishiyama-dera Temple, the place where the Tale of Genji was born located on the west bank of the Seta River fed by Lake Biwa, and it is known as one of the oldest and most beautiful pagodas in Japan.
Ishiyama-dera Temple is a beautiful temple built by Emperor Shomu, and it is said that Murasaki Shikibu began writing the Tale of Genji there. Its pagoda is one of Japan’s oldest and most beautiful surviving national treasures.
