RO Membrane - BW / LP / ULP / XLE
A reverse osmosis (RO) membrane is a semipermeable membrane that uses pressure to remove salts and other pollutants from wastewater. RO membranes are typically made of two layers: a porous polysulphone layer and an active polyamide layer. The polyamide layer is very permeable but prevents dissolved salts and particulate matter from passing through. RO membranes can remove 90–99% of contaminants, such as total dissolved solids (TDSs), from water. They also act as a barrier to inorganic molecules, salts, and organic molecules with a molecular weight greater than 100.
