Bundle pigtail, also known as pigtail bundle, has only one end with a connector, while the other end is a broken end of an optical fiber, which is connected with other optical fiber [1] cores through welding. It often appears in the optical fiber terminal box to connect optical cables and terminal equipment.
The pigtails are divided into multi-mode pigtails and single-mode pigtails. The multimode pigtail is orange, with a wavelength of 850nm and a transmission distance of 500m. It is used for short distance interconnection. Single mode pigtail is yellow, with two wavelengths, 1310nm and 1550nm, and transmission distances of 10km and 40km respectively. It is composed of 12 tail fibers, and the colors are: blue, orange, green, brown, gray, white, red, black, yellow, purple, pink, light blue.
